02 / MANUFACTURING SERVICEWhat we discuss
  • Component geometry and function
  • Material and production requirements
  • Machining and finishing interfaces

Define the casting requirements.

Review the alloy, part geometry and quantities alongside the machined interfaces, finish and inspection needs of the finished component.

01Geometry & function
Explain how the component fits into the assembly and which features are essential to its function.
02Material requirements
Include the requested material specification, or flag that material selection needs discussion. Availability is assessed for the project.
03Production quantity
Provide the expected order quantity and any annual demand information that is available.
04Downstream interfaces
Highlight machined surfaces, mating features, appearance requirements, and any inspection criteria stated on the drawing.

Common alloys for project review

We evaluate a broad range of cast aluminum alloys for custom components.

JIS: ADC12, ADC10 · North American: A380, 383 (A383), A360, A413 · EN: EN AC-46000 [AlSi9Cu3(Fe)], EN AC-44300 [AlSi12(Fe)]

Specify the alloy grade and applicable standard on your drawing. Grades from different systems are not automatic substitutes; availability and suitability are confirmed for each project.

Plan the route from alloy to part.

Connect the casting geometry with machined interfaces, finishing and inspection so the proposed route covers the finished component.
